๐ŸŸข Customer First Policy: After you make the payment, you can request a 100% full refund within 7 working days from the date of booking confirmation. No questions asked, provided no services have been availed (like hotel bookings or travel arrangements already locked). This cooling-off period gives you total flexibility right after booking.

Important: This 7-working-day refund window is applicable to all our 3 Days/2 Nights packages (2 Adults + 2 Children under 5) and other standard tour packages. Once this period lapses, the standard cancellation sliding scale below applies.

1. Standard Cancellation Policy (After 7 Working Days)

All cancellations must be communicated to us in writing via email to support@platinumservices.in. The date of receipt of your written cancellation request will determine the applicable refund amount. Below is the standard cancellation sliding scale for all tour packages (excluding flight/train tickets and special events).

Our core offering: All standard tour packages are designed for 3 days and 2 nights, ideal for 2 adults and up to 2 children below 5 years (complimentary stay/meals as per hotel policy).

Validity: Once you receive the confirmed package voucher, your travel credit is valid for 1 full year from the date of issue. You can reschedule your travel within this period (date change charges may apply as per section 3 of this policy). Unused packages beyond 1 year are non-refundable unless extended with a fee of โ‚น1,500 + applicable costs.

Family-friendly: Children below 5 years share existing bedding & meals (complimentary) in most resorts/homestays. Please reconfirm at booking.

2. Flight, Train & Third-Party Services

If your package includes flight tickets, train reservations, cruise bookings, or third-party hotel bookings made on your behalf, cancellation charges as per the respective provider's policy will apply separately. These charges are often non-refundable or subject to dynamic cancellation fees.

  • Flight Tickets: Cancellation as per airline policy (some low-cost carriers have zero refund).
  • IRCTC Train Tickets: Cancellation charges as per Indian Railways rules (typically โ‚น60-180 + clerkage).
  • Third-party activity bookings (e.g., scuba diving, safari): Often 100% non-refundable if cancelled within 7 days.

Platinum Services will assist in processing cancellations with third parties but cannot guarantee refunds beyond the provider's policy. Any refund received from third parties will be passed on to you after deducting a nominal service fee of โ‚น500 per transaction.

3. Partial Cancellation & Date Change Policy

Partial Cancellation: If a part of your group cancels, the remaining travelers can continue the tour. However, single occupancy charges may apply for hotel rooms. Refund for the canceled person(s) will follow the standard cancellation timeline.

Date Change Request: You may request to change your travel dates up to 15 days before departure, subject to availability. A date change fee of โ‚น2,500 per booking will apply plus any difference in package cost due to seasonal pricing. Date change is treated as cancellation for third-party services (flights, trains).

Flexible Upgrade: For an additional 8% of package cost, you can opt for our "Flexi-Cancel" add-on which allows free date change once and 75% refund even 5 days before departure.

4. Refund Process & Timeline

Once your cancellation request is approved, refunds are processed within 15-20 working days. Refunds will be credited via the original payment method used at the time of booking (bank transfer, credit card, UPI, etc.). Any applicable bank transaction charges, gateway fees, or currency conversion charges will be deducted from the refund amount.

  • For credit/debit card payments: Refund may take 7-10 additional days depending on your bank.
  • For NEFT/IMPS transfers: Refunds credited within 10 working days after processing.
  • Cash payments at our office: Refund by cheque or bank transfer only.

Important: No cash refunds will be issued under any circumstances. All refunds are processed electronically.

5. Force Majeure & Unforeseen Circumstances

In the event of natural disasters, pandemics (including COVID-19 related restrictions), government-imposed lockdowns, political unrest, riots, natural calamities (floods, earthquakes, heavy snowfall), or any other event beyond our reasonable control ("Force Majeure"), we will assess the situation on a case-by-case basis.

  • If the tour cannot be conducted at all: We will offer a travel credit voucher valid for 12 months for the same value, OR a partial refund after deducting non-recoverable costs (typically 30-40%).
  • If the tour is cut short: Pro-rated refund for unused services after deducting expenses incurred.
  • We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover such eventualities.
Travel Insurance Recommended: Platinum Services offers travel insurance starting at โ‚น499. Please add insurance at the time of booking to protect your trip against unforeseen cancellations.

6. Cancellation by Platinum Services

On rare occasions, we may need to cancel a confirmed tour due to insufficient bookings (minimum group size not met), operational issues, or safety concerns. In such cases:

  • You will be notified at least 10 days before departure.
  • Full refund of all amounts paid to us will be issued within 10 working days.
  • Alternatively, you may choose an alternate tour of equal or greater value (price difference to be paid by you) or a travel credit voucher with 10% bonus value.

We shall not be liable for any consequential damages, lost wages, or alternate travel arrangements made by you.

7. How to Initiate a Cancellation?

To cancel your booking, please follow these steps:

  1. Send an email to support@platinumservices.in with your Booking ID and Registered Mobile Number.
  2. Mention the reason for cancellation (optional but helpful).
  3. Our cancellation team will acknowledge within 24 hours and provide you with the applicable refund calculation.
  4. Once you confirm, we will process the refund as per the policy above.

8. Special Cases & Exceptions

  • Death of Traveler or Immediate Family: We offer a compassionate waiver โ€” 80% refund even if cancellation is within 7 days, upon submission of valid death certificate.
  • Medical Emergency (with doctor's certificate): 50% refund if cancelled 48 hours before departure. Documentation required.
  • Visa Rejection (for international tours): Refund after deducting visa fees and non-refundable hotel/airline costs (typically 40-50%).
